POETRY
TOGETHER AGAIN
Ana Priego

Identical marks on our wrists,
signs that something runs deep in our blood.
In this life and the next,
I'd pick all of you again.
And if we were seeds carried by wind,
I know we'd all pick the same field to flourish in.
Pick to have the same blue petals,
grow under the same blazing sun together again.
As stars in a galaxy,
we’d be a part of the same constellation
end each day the same once again.
Choose to brighten the same night sky,
And if we were ever in those moments again,
from an orange I'd give him the best slice,
from two glasses I'd give her the fullest.
All if it meant I'd get to live my childhood with you.
