“The Office” is an american television mock-umentary comedy series which first premiered on March 24, 2005 on the NBC channel. The show is known for its unique format, in which characters speak directly to the camera in an interview-style setting. This allows viewers to see their thoughts and attitudes towards situations. The Office has gotten a lot of recognition over the years, it has won an ALMA award, American Cinema Editors Eddie Award, American Film Institute Award, Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and others. Even though this show premiered around 18 years ago, it’s still pretty popular, and many people consider it a must-watch.
Step into Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch, where Michael Scott (aka your boss) will always keep you occupied with everything but work. The Office is not a typical comedy series, it takes you into the daily occurrences of Dunder Mifflin’s offices, where you slowly get attached to every character until the point where it will have you quoting lines of the show for years.
Throughout nine seasons the show takes viewers into work gossip, romantic entanglements, and heartwarming moments with a humorous touch
When watching The Office you will always find someone to relate to, the characters are so unique and different that anyone can relate to at least one of them. Dunder Mifflin’s Paper Company regional manager in the Scranton Branch, Michael Scott is not your typical boss, he will always see you as a friend first rather than as an employee, he is full of joy, energy, and love. Jim Halpert is a friendly, charming salesman in the Scranton branch who embodies both humor and heart. He is very relatable,he always tries to find humor inside his workplace. Dwight Schrute is a memorable character thanks to his intense devotion to work, his awkward but quirky personality, and his loyalty to his boss Michael. Many consider Pam Beesly to be the character who represents the struggles of young professionals who are looking for economic stability but also wanting to follow their dream, besides that she is a very loved member in The Office because of her support for others.
The Office is a mockumentary that follows the characters into their daily routine mostly in their workplace, Throughout nine seasons the show takes viewers into work gossip, romantic entanglements, and heartwarming moments with a humorous touch (even though it can constantly be embarrassing and awkward).
The Office is my go-to show when I’m feeling down, it puts a smile on my face, and brings a lot of laughs. This show has had me wanting to be part of the Scranton office. I personally relate and love Michael Scott´s character, as he can be a very humorous ,but touching character. In conclusion I consider this show my favorite series of all time.
