TOP 10 BEST SONGS IN THE "ART" GENRE
Andrés De La Garza
Art rock, Art Punk, and Art Pop originated from different genres outside of rock, pop and punk and they became popular in the 1970s. Art rock and pop features beautiful melodies, experimental sounds, vivid compositions, more emotion and different structures than most mainstream rock and pop. While art Punk is considered a derivative of Art Rock; by blending elements as roaring guitars, raw emotion and vivid soundscapes but with a vast influence in punk music. It offers more straight-forward riffages and chords but extends its sounds by adding more layers of instruments or sounds. Art pop is considered to be similar to Art rock but the melodies are more catchy and structures often make more “sense” than other Art genres. The similar attribute in the Art genre is the use of odd time signatures, experimental sounds and vivid emotion but it can be easily detectable the majority of influences in these three genres.
