TIPS FOR A JOURNEY THROUGH SELF-DISCOVERY

It is very common not to know what we want to be or to discover what goals we want to achieve. Identity is who we are and what makes us unique and different. It's normal sometimes to feel lost because you don't know what you want to achieve or become. That's why here we bring you some tips to start a journey through self-discovery.

1. Explore what you like to do.
Take your hobbies to another level. Learn more about them, maybe you find something that you never thought you could do with that hobby that you like and that you practice. Also, connect with more people who practice that hobby. You can learn things from them and thus take those learnings with you.

2. Keep a self-reflective journal
Keeping a journal, aside from helping you write down your thoughts, is a fun activity to do while you're trying to figure out what you want to be. In the journal, you can write how your day went, some small reflections on a moment that happened to you, or ideas. This will help you to put your ideas in an organized and visual way. You can also decorate it in your own style, use colors, stickers, or photos. Reflect your personality in that journal!

3. Visualize what you want to achieve
Visualize what you want to be. You can ask yourself questions like: How do I see myself leaving high school? How do I see myself in 10 years? What experiences do I want to have one day? These questions will help you reflect and visualize how you see yourself in the future.

4. Keep in mind your hobbies and strengths
Take some time to analyze and think about your qualities and what you like to do. Since you identified them now, use that to your advantage. Those qualities that you have and what you like to do; take advantage of it and develop them. So you can continue discovering and exploring more things about yourself


5. Explore new things and try to get out of your comfort zone

Sometimes trying new things can seem scary, confusing and sometimes you can even feel anxious, all these emotions are valid and important. Getting out of your comfort zone will help you try things you have never tried before, such as a sport or an art. This can lead you to new possibilities and opportunities you never thought possible.
