"These Violent Delights" published in 2020 is a novel inspired by Romeo and Juliet that
revolves around the city of Shanghai and the rivalry of two very powerful "gangster"
families whose leaders are in love but their loyalty to the gangs will not let them be.
together what forms a forbidden love. This novel is a historical fantasy, this can be seen
due to the historical context in which 1920 is addressed and the details that stand out at
the beginning of the story, such as fashion and the styles of each character, fashion is very interesting to me old that the characters have if you like fashion this will call your
attention a lot.
Personally, the story has a good plot, I love forbidden love. The downside of this is that
the story is very slow and can become a bit boring and long.
In general, if you like historical fantasy novels with elements of romance and adventure
this one might get your attention and you will enjoy it.
